Travel to Portland

Getting to Portland is Easy!

• Fly. Nonstop air service is available from major cities that include Seattle, Vancouver BC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Dallas, Chicago, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Washington DC, Boston, Tokyo and Amsterdam. Recommended air carriers are United Airlines, Alaska Airlines and Delta Airlines. We have not negotiated any special airline rates because you can get better prices on your own. You can take the Max train from the airport directly to downtown, saving you money. You can also take the Blue Star Shuttle bus from the airport (only US$13 to hotels in downtown).
• Take the train. The Amtrak Cascades train runs regular service to Portland from points north and south. Rumor has it that you can get a round-trip Amtrak ticket Vancouver BC to Portland for less than C$100 and it’s a fast and easy ride.
• Drive. Portland is a mere 2.5 hours from Seattle, approximately 6 hours from Vancouver BC (US-Canada border crossing recommended at night or early morning to avoid traffic), or 1.5 hours from Eugene, Oregon.
